- How Mentis App platform works
When performing a 1st assessment, which is based on the international guidelines for depression, Mentis uses the filters whose results indicate what are the users current "Mental Health” status
Those guidelines are widely used in the definition of depressive conditions from mild to severe and potential association with other anxiety disorders. Less severe conditions such as stress, sleep disorders, lack of energy are also included in this platform.
An additional test to measure the anxiety level only is also included as an "Emotional Thermometer”. It provides in real time the current emotional "temperature” and can be repeated as many times as the user like. It is a FREE evaluation and the app will provide some daily tips and recommendation to better deal with the potential above the level anxiety symptoms.

Depression is a common mental health disorder and is very commonly associated with other Mood disorders such as Anxiety, Panic, OCD, phobias and other mental impairments.
Globally, +300 million people of all ages suffer. In Latin America, it is indicative that in Latin America the high rates (20.6%) are an effect of the socioeconomic situation. More than 30 million depressed Europeans being the 20+ to the 40yo the higher prevalence ages.
North America prevalence rate among population is 13.4% while Asia is the second continent to follow South America with a prevalence rate of 16.7%. Europe ranks in fourth with 11.9% and Africa with 11.5% prevalence. It is the main contributor to the global burden of disease and disability tending to increase in times of economic, social or humanitarian destabilization.
At its worst, depression can lead to suicide. There is a need to recognize the fears and emotional distress as earlier than possible and not hide from own feelings. There are effective psychological and pharmacological treatments for depression and specialists to treat and support the society. The latest data indicates a 30% growth yearly. Further, studies will be of key relevance to establish the most updated rates as of 2020.
